"We are the subwoofer specialist." Dave Hall founded Velodyne Acoustics in California in 1983; a category was born where an effect had stood. Servo control, patents, analogue knowledge and digital mastery — bass as a foundation that carries music and film without overwriting the rest of the spectrum.
Since 2019 Audio Reference has continued the house from Hamburg. In the studio we listen to Velodyne in 2.1 and 2.2 chains — voiced to the room, not to a demo disc.
