The maker
IsoAcoustics comes from a studio question: Dave Morrison planned rooms for the CBC and learned how loudspeakers and floors talk to each other. With the NRC in Ottawa he developed isolation platforms — elastomer pairs for weight classes, not rubber pads, not damping for its own sake.
It is about vibration in one direction, not killing everything. Loudspeakers and electronics off the floor, so the room does not join in where it should not.
